It has been said of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar that not since Mahatma Gandhi has one person united so many people. Regardless of race, religion, tradition, economic and social status, or nationality, the Art of Living Foundation (AOLF) is creating a One World spiritual family across the globe.
Founded by Gurudev in 1981, and operating in 156 countries, AOLF is a non-profit educational and humanitarian organization that has influenced the lives of over 450 million people. All of our programs are guided by Sri Sri’s philosophy: “Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace.”

Gurudev also works in special consultative status with the United Nations’ Social and Economic Council. Through his life’s work he has successfully implemented numerous humanitarian projects including conflict resolution, disaster relief, female empowerment, environmental sustainability and rural development.

He’s a sought after speaker on various global platforms including the United Nations’ International Day of Yoga, The Ministry Of Youth and Sport Summit on Peace in Iraq, and the World Culture Festival in India — an international festival celebrating all cultures with 3.75+ million people from 150+ countries.

Teaching in a variety of settings across the world — spanning from the general public, prisons, universities, corporations and government bodies, Spencer finds deep fulfillment in uplifting people from all walks of life.
