USING YOUR FUNDS
How can I pay with my HSA or FSA?
There are two ways to use your HSA or FSA funds for Art of Living programs. Which method is available to you depends on your plan and whether your HSA/FSA card is accepted at checkout.
At checkout, select Pay with HSA/FSA | Flex and complete a short survey. You'll be asked for your date of birth, sex, and a qualifying condition. Choose the one that is applicable for you. From there, two payment paths are available:
Pay with your HSA/FSA card
Enter your HSA or FSA debit card through the Flex checkout flow. You can also split the cost between your HSA/FSA card and a credit card if needed. Your Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is reviewed and issued by a licensed clinician through Flex, typically within 24 hours.
Pay by credit card, then reimburse
Don't have your HSA/FSA card handy? Enter a credit card instead. After checkout, log in to the Flex portal to download your itemized receipt and LMN, then submit them to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement.
About the LMN: A Letter of Medical Necessity is reviewed and issued by a licensed clinician through Flex, based on your survey responses. No in-person doctor's visit is required in advance.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a doctor's recommendation to use my HSA/FSA?
No. When you use the Pay with HSA/FSA | Flex option at checkout, your Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is reviewed and issued by a licensed clinician through the Flex platform—no in-person visit or prior documentation needed. You'll simply complete a short survey with your date of birth, sex, and a qualifying condition such as anxiety or insomnia.
What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?
An LMN is a document from a licensed clinician confirming that a program is medically necessary for your situation—for example, to address a diagnosed condition such as anxiety or insomnia. Many HSA/FSA plans require one when submitting for reimbursement of programs like meditation or breathwork.
When you check out using the Pay with HSA/FSA | Flex option, your LMN is reviewed and issued by a licensed clinician through Flex, based on your survey responses. No in-person visit is required. LMNs are typically delivered within 24 hours.
Why are instructor programs like VTP or TTP not eligible?
What if my HSA/FSA card is declined at checkout?
Some HSA/FSA cards have merchant category restrictions that may prevent them from being used directly on our website. If this happens, you can pay with a standard credit or debit card and then submit a reimbursement request through your HSA/FSA portal with your receipt and any required documentation.
Can I use my HSA/FSA funds for my child's Art of Living courses?
Yes! The IP Level 1 and IP Level 2 programs for Kids & Teens (ages 8–17) are included on the approved program list. You may be able to use your HSA/FSA funds for a dependent child's participation. As always, confirm eligibility with your plan administrator and obtain an LMN if required.
Will I receive a receipt I can use for reimbursement?
Yes. After completing your registration and payment, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a payment receipt. Please save this. You will need it if submitting a reimbursement request to your plan administrator.
How long does reimbursement take?
Reimbursement timelines vary by plan and administrator. Most plans process claims within 5–10 business days of receiving complete documentation. Check your plan's portal or contact your administrator for specifics.
